Downpipe and midpipe sizes

Hi Guys

 

This might be a bit of a stupid post and therefore I apologise beforehand if it is, but the turbo kits that xs power supply for the n/a have a 4" downpipe and midpipe. How do I connect 4" pipes to a 3" exhaust.

 

On another note, would a T61 turbo spool quickly from low revs - or are there better options. I am not looking for huge power gains, just a bit more grunt lower down the rev range.
