Jamesy
I need to get a couple of new suits for work....however i must be really out of touch with fasion as ALL the suits in ALL the shops i've been in are these new "slim fit" jobbies with trousers so narrow my size 11's at the end will look like boats!! Anyone know where you can still get a decent suit, ideally with bootcut trousers?!! Muchos

Josh
I bought mine from Matalan and a tie from Tierack and shoes from Asda and altogether it cost less than £100 This was when I was 18 and for a wedding, so there's no way I was spending a lot on one! Josh
Thanks but i fear our style of formal wear may differ...! If I hadn't been working in a newsagents at the time, I'd have spent more. It still looked decent for the price, though

johnny g
Get yourself to M&S. You'll spend £150 ish, but I get my day-to-day suits from there. My Armani suit wasn't from there though!

If you pronounce it Ma-Talen, it sounds a lot more exotic.

j_jza80
I've just bought a stunning suit from River Island, I thought it was cheap @ £135 but they also have an extra £30 off at the moment. I normally spend £200 or £300 for a nice one and this is as nice as anything I've seen at that budget.
Abz
Under the £150 budget & just for looking sharp around the office: http://www.next.co.uk/men/tailoring TM Lewin do some pretty nice suits too, think I can get you an office discount if you want: http://www.tmlewin.co.uk/Suits-Coats/Mens-Suits,en_GB,sc.html

That said, I can go from being in a nice office speaking to customers to climbing all over a dusty plant room in no time. Not worth me buying a decent suit. H. Guigsy
iv given up with next now. they used to be good for shirts and trousers. but they only sell stupid slim fit fashionable hipster suits that are not comfortable for sitting in all day. the shirts also are made for people with tiny necks. they also refuse to acknowledge people taller than 6ft exist. im only 6'3" and i had to get them to order some trousers in for me because the closes length they could find in the store were a good 4 inches off from what i needed. and then when they arrived the waist was a good 2 sizes smaller than what i normaly wair (despite them showing the correct size on the label). so when i finaly got a pair that fitted in length and waist they were so rediculously tight arround my thighs i almost split the seams when i sat down.... useless. The best, most comfortable, well fitting suit trousers and shirts iv baught in the last few years have been from tesco... Hobgoblin
I had a suit made to measure, it cost me $25 US, and on a high St shop, the town is called Hoyan, Vietnam.
