Marcus GTE
Alright dudes, I'm getting married next year and I've been starting to look at where to go for our honeymoon. So far we have looked at Mauritius, maldeeves, Thailand, that kind of thing. Has anyone got a suggestion of somewhere to look at? Ideally looking for somewhere hot in april with some good trips and a mix of stuff to do as well as nice all inclusive hotel for under £6k (wedding gift btw). Been to the Caribbean so would like to try somewhere different. Any experiences/ recommendations are most welcome Cheers

Ricky49
Dubai and Abu Dahbi are out of this world, i have been caribbean, maldives, mauritius and seychelles but nothing had my mouth boucing off the floor like the over top middle east boys. Abu is crazier than Dubai but a lot more low key. Its the only two places I have wanted and have been back to.
Marcus GTE
Yeah? The flights to Thailand can go through dubi and we thought about doing a stop over if we were to choose there. I seen some of the water parks there look great amoungst other things

Haha that reminds me of the advice frank the tank got in old school, she's 20ft away (walking down the isle) you can still walk away from this, it's not too late! I'd love to go to a grand prix, my mate goes to abu dabbi every year as his folks stay out there. I'll take him up on his offer of going one day. It's expensive though. Bobbeh
Sounds cracking, got a hotel in mind? Nope, I went to Oahu, but Maui is known for the Honeymooners, Oahu is too American for a Paradise like experience ... but I'm pretty sure they're mostly 5* and wonderful

Samurai 20V
Phuket, Thailand is a nice place, cheap also..
Marcus GTE
Phuket is a possibility, if we were going to Thailand it would prob be there or krabbi. Some of the scenery there looks incredible with the cliffs comming out the sea. Does Thailand have a butlins? That would be the ultimate! staples230uk
Maui (Hawaii) is always good I'll second that spent a day in wailea at the beach. We did a hawaiian cruise 7 days round the islands, can't wait to go back. So I'd recommend Hawaii
neil tt
Bali is the nice's place i have ever been to, only a couple of inclusive places on the island. Resonable to go and very cheap when you get there and some good trips
RobUK
We went to Mauritius, really enjoyed it.. Can't remember the name of the hotel but it was 5* all inclusive.... We also went out on trips etc
Marcus GTE
Mauritius ive heard good things about, looking at a place in turtle bay in a national park. Heard the taxis to the nearby town 15 min away are £25 each way, which suggests the place would be quite expensive? Bali might be a good shout, not looked there yet. Hawaii will also be getting looked into. Hope wherever we choose has good snorkelling, I'm addicted to it after trying it in Mexico a few years ago. mwilkinson
If you want to go somewhere where there is plenty to do I would go to Costa Rica. We stayed in Tamarindo which is Westernised with big 4* and 5*hotels. It is a good staging post for travelling around the country. We paid for an all inclusive 5* hotel for 2 weeks and only stayed there for 4 nights as we travelled all over the country and into Nicaragua to see all the wonderful sites. Basically on the coast it was stupidly hot and warm, so good for the beach relaxing holiday, but then you can go to the active volcanoes, rain forests, do white water rafting etc.. There is so much to do and the country is amazing especially if you like wildlife, the bio diversity is one of the highest on the planet. It's the best holiday I have ever had and I would go back in a heartbeat.
RobUK
We stayed at a Hotel called "Legends" it recently became know because of the death of the irish football managers Daughter.... I have to say I was really surprised at this happening as it's a very secure location.... but I guess things happen sometimes.... i certainly wouldn't be put off going to the same place again..... TokyoRich
Anyway I went to Fiji for my honeymoon it was beautiful but the service was rubbish so would not necessarily reccomend it.. Maldives for pure romantic beauty would be my reccomendation. Or Tokyo and get some JDM parts while you are there and see the cherry blossom in the spring! They have changed the name because of that, it's now lux, we were just looking at it thinking it looked good! Was it a member of staff that killed a guest? I think I remember that being on the news. Won't rule it out just yet, after all, Glasgow is one of the murder capitals of Europe and its where I live! People in glass houses. ... But still...
