SARD ECU Help

Mugello

Recommended Posts

Aftering reading up about BPU mods, for my 1995 TT, I decided to investigate if i had a FCD fitted to the ECU from a previous owner. This is what i found

First of all its clear to see the SARD logo on the unit, can anyone shed some light on this ? From what i understand it will have a tweaked map in terms of fueling and ignition, is this correct ? (With regards to the fuel tweak, will i even need a FCD) ?

I also noticed it says "2JZ-GT" Is this correct for a TT model ?

Also judging by three cut and reconnected wires it looks like a FCD was once fitted ?

Regards, Moo

That's a nice bit of kit, its the correct unit for a tt auto. Its similar to a MINES or Toms ecu, tweaked fuel and air ratios. Search Sard for more info mate

Cheers for the reply fella :)

I have heard good things about them, and yes mine is an auto so thats good :) Will i still need a FCD to run 1.2bar ?

With regards to the search i have :( and to no help. (Been searching for a while)

You will need an FCD mate, that's the impression I am under anyway, drop John at Austec a call, there's little he doesn't know about bpu and is a friendly guy.

No you won't need an FCD, those type of ecu's remove the fuel cut, as well as speed limiter and a host of other things. Read here for more info :-

I just looked this up and was about to post, I had a feeling they did the fuel cut. You got to love this forum, someone always knows the answer.
