hi,

i just bought me a twin turbo MKIV supra and took the car to have an oil change and the idiot mechanic put way too much oil in the engine (about twice the max level on the dipstick). the car was running fine from the garage to my home and then it just didnt start again. the engine turns fine but no spark at all. I have already drained the excess oil to the dipstick's max level and still nothing, i will check the sparks today to make sure they are not covered in oil, any other suggestions???

Are you sure its no spark? Could be no fuel? Things to check, fuel pump working, EFI fuses, coil pack clips.

i checked the fuel pump and it was working fine, all fuses have been checked too and all are fine, only need to check the sparks today...hopefully they are the issue...any other thing to check??

I can promise you the oil isn't the issue. Igniter units do just suddenly go, could be that, is it auto or manual?

6 speed manual

while were talking about the possibility of the igniter being the problem i will do a spark test tomorrow before i put the new oil and sparks on..... any idea if a JDM igniter would work on my US spec supra???

good news i finally found out what the issue is.....the fuel pump connections were creating a short circuit for some reason and while trying to fix it last night it ended up with the fuel pump completely dying...any way i need to buy a new fuel pump and im thinking about upgrading to something better...any recommendations??? walbro??? denso???

Depends on the build spec, walbro is the usual choice for BPU power. Glad you got it sorted :)
