bambisdad
Guys As part of my plan to go NA/T in the near future could someone please tell me if fitting a BOV with a screamer pipe will result in an MOT failure for noise and/or exhaust emmisions. The sound is already great but pretty loud. Thanks
Gaz6002
A 'screamer pipe' comes out of the wastegate, not the BOV.
mellonman
a na/t will always fail a mot mate due to emissions because there will be no cats
bambisdad
Sorry dumb mistake. I didnt know that all NA/T conversions run without any cat. How do I go about the MOT then. Is it a case of putting the cat(s) back in for test.
Swampy442
Any modern car should pass an emissions test without a cat. Just make sure the car is hot before the test. I had a Soarer once with no cat and a smoking turbo that passed an emissions test.
