How do you fit the rear brake light strip?

Recommended Posts

Just noticed that when the car was sprayed, they failed to re attach the rear brake light strip properly, and it just pretty much fell out with the slightest touch.

What is the best way/correct way to fit it? I have tried, but to no avail. Im guessing the black "clips" sit in the lip of the hole, but I cant get them to stay in place.

Note, I am doing it from the outside of the car, as I dont know how to get to that area in the tailgate.

Help asap greatly appreciated

I have the clips on the led strip, its just where do the clips "clip" on to with regards to the actual car? No matter what I do, it just sits in there loose!

Rough diagram of what i mean attached. How does the clip attach the light to the car?

I have a horrible feeling here. The light cover (the bit that is on the outside, is this meant to be attached to the led strip? Then the bolts hold the clips on, which stop it falling out the car? I have a feeling the garage broke mine, as the outer cover is not attached to the led strip
