AMG
If it i has bad a bad ECU ground, effectively no power, would any of the dash inducator lights illuminate? Or is there anything else that would point towards it being bad grounds? Where is the ECU grounded? or is it a case of following the wire from the ECU to find it? Ian C
Ground faults tend to behave oddly, like dash lights lighting up dimly and there being odd small voltages on lines that should be a ground. There are a fair few ground points, you can manually check them all or you can get multimetering to try and narrow it down. I'd start with the earth on the lower part of the intake manifold, that one's not readily visible and can cause starting failures.

fordy_alexsupra
loose ecu connection plugs, they all have to be fully pushed in to make connection
