TRD mount, RPS flywheel, horrible noise

Hey guy's,

Just had my car MOT'd and got the RPS flywheel, RPS streetmax Clutch and TRD transmission mount fitted, took it for a drive and the sound is horrendous, I get a loud scraping sound at 1.5k-3.5k revs and some metallic tinging sounds (which I can also hear if I stick my head out the window) also get a bit of bang engaging and disengaging gears.

It sounds exactly like this that Fastcar recorded a while back:

The car was fine before it went in so I want to be sure this isn't something the garage may have cocked up on.

So, long and short, should I be worried? Would blasting the transmission tunnel with dynomat help? Does anyone have a stock transmission mount they can sell me?

Swap you an almost new (200 miles) tranny mount for the TRD? :D

That sounds about right TBH, replacing the stock DMF with a solid aftermarket one will give you some pretty nasty noises! The rattling sounds normal for an aftermarket clutch/flywheel setup :)

I may actually take you up on that, off to grab some dynomat tomorrow to see if that sorts it but it is incredibly loud, actually manages to drown out the kakimoto exhaust .

I can always send you it to try if you want? See if it makes any difference. I don't mind not using the car for a week or so, can't afford the fuel at the moment anyway!

Would really appreciate that, if Dynomat doesn't make it much more bareable then I would be happy to send you the TRD mount in return :)

But I shall report back tomorrow once I have taken it back out.

Just a quick bump to see if anyone else has had this issue and if they overcame it, it's just the shear volume that worries me, doesn't matter how loud you turn the music up it will always be drowned out by this rattling/banging/clanging.
