herbiemercman
hi all, after returning my front bumper 3 times to my local spray shop and it blistering all over, i decided to buy a replacement on here. my car is black and the replacement is red, so i took it to another spray shop who is well reccomended. he explained that the plastic is pourouse and should not be sprayed untill the bumper has been in a warm enviroment for a few days prior to spraying. apparantly the spray transpoting solvents soak into the plastic and then when evaporating the solvents draw out any moisture that may be in the plastic, thus causing the paint to bubble. my brother has the same car only his is twin turbo, he had the number plate holes filled and the bumper sprayed, it bubbled in 6 months. has anyone else experienced this. ? many thanks. herbiemercman.
