Colin-mkiv
The girl who is walking the marathon after being paralysed 5 years ago isnt going to get a medal because rules dictate that the course must be completed within 24 hrs to qualify for one. I think she's inspirational and should be given a darn sight more than any medal!!!! I'll bet there will so many people will offer her their own medals when she finishes! mawby
Disabled people have fought hard over the years to not be discriminated against, now you're suggesting we should treat her differently because of a disability?
Colin-mkiv
I'm suggesting that it took her more effort to do the marathon than anyone else and so deserves something to mark her achievement.

Josh
She should have got a taxi as Geoffrey Butler "The shame of a nation" did That is pretty bad though. Did she expect to do it in less than 24 hours so she's gutted she didn't make it?
Colin-mkiv
I think thats the general thoughts, she was devastated when she was told that it was a rule though, so maybe she wasn't aware before she began....She should have got a taxi as Geoffrey Butler "The shame of a nation" did That is pretty bad though.
