Dash 2 issues

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I had issues with my car following a diff change. They turned out to be a fuel pump ECU failure. I have now had my fuel pump ECU bypassed and linked directly to the ignition.

Now my next problem is that my Dash 2 only has a red light on the battery but nothing on the screen. (indicator lights working).

Any idea's?

I have checked all the fuses and they are fine.s

Yes. Exactly as you say, I may consider replacing the ECU... Not sure yet.

To be honest, my pump is so noisy and I have no stereo in the car so there is no danger of me leaving the ignition on without knowing it.

Edit, just re-read your post :) what a moron I am.

Very good point, will source a fuel pump ECU straight away.

Mine is exactly the same - it is as designed. You can set a trigger up so that if the battery voltage falls below a certain value the LED's will flash.

Not sure if I totally understand mate. All I have is the battery light on (and indicators) nothing else is working. Blank screen and no gear change lights.

Miss it as I dont even know how much fuel I have anymore :(

IIRC there is a inline fuse on the power feed to the Dash2, it may be worth checking that is ok. The other lights may still work as they are fed on a individual basis. (Indicators, lights etc) so worth a quick check.

there certainly is....but unfortunately the fuse is fine :( Wish I knew where the manual was so I could check the troubleshooting section.

  • 8 months later...

Just incase someone has the same problems in future.

This turned out to be a power overload caused by the garage replacing the fuse that kept popping with a larger voltage one.... I sent it off for repair by race technologies at a cost of about £150

Thanks

Jon

The one in the main car fuse board relating to dash and other bits.

The disappointing thing for me was that the dash 2's own fuse was still in tact. IMO this should have blown protecting the dash.

They are fragile things!! I now need to work out how to program the dam thing as last time Ryan did it for me.

Step 1 complete - order a seriel to USB connector.

The reason for that the fuse kept blowing was that the fuel pump ECU had failed.
