BenRichardsFife
i was looking around on various website for something to spend money on for my sup, and i really like the godzilla air intake manifold on suprastore.com (http://www.suprastore.com/2jinmabywope.html). would this be easy to replace with the stock air intake, obviously the power steering would need to be re-located, and the trottle cable would oibvously need moved aswell, are these hard to do? costly? the unit itself is £600, sound like a pointless mod? lol

Al Massey
Why anyone would fit that to an N/A is beyond me Far too much money for no gain and I'm sure you lose torque with that intake instead of the one fitted
Digsy
If you bin the standard manifold you will lose your bottom and mid range torque that the stock NA's variable intake system gives you.

tkddav3
i woulda thought that was more for na-t?
Digsy
i woulda thought that was more for na-t? I suppose it might be slightly less restrictive than the stock manifold, but would kill the torque curve regardless of whether or not it gave you any more at the top end. stevie_b
Serious question: what are you trying to achieve by doing it?
BenRichardsFife
i was planning on going NA-T and i thought that moving the air intake to the right side of the bay would make things easier clearance-wise and keep the temperature of the intake air down? it would also look much better when it comes time to do engine detailing (in the long run) - I DUNNOOOO :[ lolll im not the most mechanically experienced human being so go easy on me haha
Dan_Turism0
for NA-T then yes a worthwhile mod but don't do it to the car until this time
Al Massey
Is it worthwhile if going NA/T? As said and mentioned you will lose the torque curve so what would be the gains of this?
Dan_Turism0
No mention of loss of torque on that NA-T build
