Nic
thanks for were is the best place to get a new one The cat heat sensors usually just get removed and the hole blocked up as they are just there to illuminate the warning light on the dash if the catalytic convertor collapses internally or becomes blocked, they have no effect on the performance of the car as such. If you do want to replace it then contact Keron he'll probably have loads of 2nd hand ones available.

Nic
Easiest thing to do is to tie up the temp sensor out of the way with a cable tie.

Graham1984
Easiest thing to do is to tie up the temp sensor out of the way with a cable tie. Make sure you don't cut it off as it will more than likely cause you to get warning lights, The guy at Austec just cable tied it above where it was and after 8k miles it has been fine like that.
