Porsche 944 LUX - Guards Red

Stonkin

Recommended Posts

Offered for sale is my Guards Red Porsche 944 Lux 2.5l

The car has covered 100,269 miles and is complete with a black half leather interior in good condition and also comes with the private registration of JIL 2292 which was valued at £550.

The galvanised bodywork is in very good condition for its age. The car starts and drives very well. A new clutch was fitted 2 years ago and has done very little mileage since, at the same time a new cambelt kit was also fitted. New copper brake pipes and pads all round were fitted for the last MOT. It has an electric sunroof, windows and drivers seat. The handling is balanced perfectly at 50% front and rear to provide great road handling. The Porsche alloys are in great condition. The car also benefits from having a Superchip fitted to increase performance and also a S2 rear diffuser.

This is the oval dash model with the black Porsche livery printed on the seats. There is an extensive service record portfolio also complete with previous MOT's.

The car does not currently have an MOT or Tax and requires very light restoration work to pass an MOT. The windscreen is cracked from a stonechip but will come supplied with a replacement. This car offers a cheap and reliable entry into the classic car, Porsche world, and can be cheap to insure on a classic car policy.

MOT'd and with minor paintwork would easily see the car valued at 4k

Any inspection of the car is welcome

I had one of these in the rather less desirable bronze colour! ;)

Awesome to drive though and yours looks mint compared to the one I bought mate!

Very good price for a nice appreciating classic.

Best of luck with the sale - looks awesome (nice work on the bay and wheels especially!!).

Bautiful mate. What do you think needs doing for the MOT and is the only paintwork that needs doing to the front bumper? How faded is the rest of the car - do you think it woudl be difficult to match the colour? Any smoke form the engine? Sorry for the questions but this could be a lot of fun for the spring! Dont suppose you know anyone that would trailer it to my garage in Maidenhead?

Hi mate, to the best of my knowledge its just simple work that needs doing. The windscreen is cracked but i have a replacement to go with the car. It needs a new battery tray, a couple of the tyres go down but i cannot see any nails in them, so likely could just need reseating on the rims or the valves replacing. The car is a pretty solid car, just needs a little of someones time to make good and i just dont have the time available, plus i could do with the garage space back. Front bumper would need painting and as you can see from the pics, there are stone chips around the lower areas of the rear arches. The rest of the car is a nice red, i machined it about a year ago, a light polish would bring it up well. The engine seems good and doesnt smoke, it could do with an original airbox fitting to get rid of the induction kit. I do know a transport guy that could easily get it to Maidenhead if you would like his contact details? With a bit of work, an mot, the car would be worth considerably more and would be an interesting project, which is why i bought it in the first place.

Feel free to give me a call if you want to have a chat.

Christian
