Noz
Morning all. Researched this topic and just wanted to confirm a few things. Someone told me that swapping a GTE head will require using a GTE loom. Is this correct. Apart from swapping the oil pump to allow for crank position sensor, the head should include a cam sensor, which will then given enough information for a standalone to run ignition system with coils. I am unsure what else would be needed in order to use the GTE loom. Do the injectors use the same connector? As the GE loom would be connecting to the GTE fuel rail with TT injectors. TT area is very new to me, so any information (or corrections) welcome. Thanks
dude
The gte loom has the correct plugs for injectors dude

Nodalmighty
I do believe you can remove the connector plug housings from the TT loom and plug the NA terminals into it as they are the same style pin. Technically, you should be able to hook the GTE engine sensors NE,G1and G2 to the NA ecu as they effectively the same configuration just in a different arrangement (12 on crank is effectively 24 on the cam and G1 and G2 are 360 opposed phase). Noz
So do you think it's worth considering customising the NA loom to use a TT head. As buying the loom is another expensive, and if I can locate connectors and rewire the loom to a standalone, it's money saved and can be spend on better products elsewhere. I would save further expense by adapting the NA fuel rail to fit the GTE head. This would involve some machining work and a bit of creative thinking but we did the same thing on the REV2 3S-GTE inlets (after removing the T-VIS) and they made over 650bhp with 1008cc Delphi Top Feeds. I'm making some rails for the NA with -14 fittings so plenty of fuel for NA-T nutters. Lyndon.
Noz
Thing is, stock NA fuel rail is only limited to around 700bhp (people reckon, it's never been compared with the flow volume and area etc) and at 700bhp your going to need a better intake system, which is why I was considering the TT head, as TT intake will also be alot cheaper. Nodalmighty
Only 700bhp, only a Supra owner would utter such a comment That's why we have the 2000bhp fuel rail option in development just for you. Should hold about a litre of fuel, enough for most NA-T fruit baskets ) How much power are you aiming for Noz? Lyndon.
