Japfest midlands convoy?

I contemplated this, but it's actually further for me to go to reading than it is to go to castle Combe, then on top of this, there's then the drive from reading to castle combe, which will then take another hour, sorry pal, just my passenger doesn't fancy a 4 o'clock set off...:/

Im going down with 3 other supras but are parking up on another club area

at the show.

We are stopping at M42 J2 Hopwood services, M5 Strensham services and then onto

the M4 to J18 A46 north then in a sneaky back way to the circuit :)

FYI going via Reading adds 80 miles to a 90 mile trip from B'ham.

I'm going down, was thinking of going cross country on the A429 as came back that way last year and it was a much nicer drive than motorway bashing and like Dunk going the back way in. And same here, another 80 miles if I go to Reading. Open to offers depending what time and which way?

Me and Scotty will be up for doing this instead of going Reading as we will have madam with us and don't fancy an early early start :)

So. Is everyone joining Dunk's convoy, if so what time and where as it will take me an hour to get to Birmingham. Roughly same total time for me to get to Castle Combe M'way or cross country, just 20 mile longer down M5 but still better than going to Reading (Although the convoy was very impressive last year)

2 of us will be leaving Hopwood services M42 J2 at 06:45 at the latest, then to Strensham services M5 to meet 2

more and leaving there at 07:10.

Meeting 2 others at J19 M4 then up to J18 M4 and go north on the A46 and meet 1 more in the layby

and then onto the show.

Depending on traffic i'd guess 08:30 ish at the circuit but there are 50 mph average speed cameras

down at the M4/M5 junction

Cheers, it's be a bit optimistic making that much time up, might have to set my alarm a bit earlier then!

50 ish miles from Derby to Hopwood so you need to be on the rd at 06:00 at the latest if

your going to make it for 06:45

It takes a few miles at silly mph to get back a small amount in time so the only way is to

get up earlier :(

and 25 miles to get to Derby - still better than the 4.00am start to go to Reading first
