Matt H
Why do you ask bud? Interested to know what yours was like with your type of diet. I'm on a different muscle group each day. I'm thankful for that today because there is no way I could exercise the muscles I did on Monday today, they still hurt too much. I doubt I could have a year ago, but I have not problem nowadays working the same muscles three days later. I don't get any muscles soreness any more. Geo
Good thread! your a animal Geo lol. Started early pre season for footie last night, im mega unfit. 12 weeks hardcore cardio for me or ill end up on the bench with no £30 a game bonus lol £30 a game, i did it for the shirt.... For the last few months it has just been junk hence my weight now: Skip Breakfast (maybe a sausage roll at work if someone buys them) Sandwich for lunch (with whatever cakes/biscuits are around the office) Generally unhealthy dinner followed by evening snacks Fluids - generally about 4 cups of coffee, 4 cups of tea and diet soft drinks. Since starting on training though I have had the following: Breakfast - Protein shake and 5g creatine Lunch - Protein shake and 5g Creatine Dinner 5g Creatine and Chicken breast or steak with salad No snacks Fluids - 2 cups of coffee, 1 cup of tea and about 7 glasses of water (been getting pretty thirsty, due to the creatine I think) I haven't been intentionally starving myself, I just haven't been hungry with the shakes. I'm happy to eat, just haven't bothered because I wasn't sure what I needed to eat to get results. I need something fairly quick for breakfast and some ideas on what to eat at lunchtime. I'll probably stick with meat and salad for dinner and add in a sweet potato for the carbs. With the cardio I was hoping to diet some of the weight off first and then begin cardio. At the moment if I go out running etc I tend to get lower back problems due the high impact. Due to how unfit I am, I'm pretty shattered after doing the weights. Ok i'll say it, rubbish diet, but Geo is on the case bud. I'll write something later on and get it over to you, so just to clarify your wanting to drop some weight? Have you seen what he eats! lol. 3rd week in now and slowely getting some muscle memory. Time to put weight on the bar matt All my vitals are all good bud, with consuming lots of food, i do keep a close eye on it. But i tend to also do a lot of cardio, either training(fast), cycling, or walking the dog i do a fair bit, so this probably helps keep everything in check. Id split all that up, no wonder you aint seeing results. Say for chest on a Monday night Bench 10-12reps 3sets Incline bench flys 10-12reps 3 sets Cable cross over 15reps 3sets Seated Press 10-12reps 3sets Home > EAT!!!! Split your body parts up through out the week. And make sure your taking in good protein, good carbs, and good fats. Add in some cardio to keep Fat limited, but with bulking you will add a little, its normal.

I'm feeling excited about this so I will be committed. I've done it before (the dieting part) about four years ago and lost 4 stone but now its all gone back on in the last year. I want to do it again but because I'm also trying to gain muscle I know the diet will probably need to be quite different.

Nice and slow feeling every muscle fibre contract and keeping tension on during the negative part of the rep. You should feel it burn so much the muscle feels unattached to your body and pumped rock hard. Thats the key with every muscle not the weight you can lift or how fast you can lift for x reps. Mines 24.3 so guess im ok If you knew anything about anthropometry, you wouldn't ask an inane question like this in the FITNESS thread. BMI is a very very poor instrument for measuring body composition in a trained population.

Kaan W
the burn/pain isnt sign of the training working I know I got it wrong. A sign of the training working is how much weight you can lift. Duhh silly me!
