most carbon composite cures are at 135 degrees. if the carbon is going to be placed where the temps get hoter than the cure cycle. a post cure of 200 degrees or higher is required. or the carbon will blister.

Guys this is not some cheap fibreglass ebay job, its a one off!! and a serious bit of kit

Noel built the bonnet for Jamie, i have spoken to Noel and its the best of the best... hense the £1400 price tag! My plan if i was to keep it is to build a custom carbon under bonnet sheild which i have also bought and is the best of the best carbon kevler motorsport grade sheeting!

Your idea on the gold heat tape is a good idea though

Its a shame to sell this for funds when so much has been done to bring this car to this level. Have you thought about fitting some evo8 brembos? 4 pot brakes 330m discs, my front set up is going to cost me around 500 when it is all done. I have a template of the adapter bracket too make it easier? Big good looking calipers too.

Drop me a pm if you fancy mate

For the members interested these are some pics of the bonnet. It has 2 small hair line cracks either side of the hump and torwards the back of the bonnet, nothing too eye catching. Apart from that and the paint sinking back a bit its lovely.

The paint sinking back has only made the weave visible its not caused the bonnet to look horrible, some people like the weave look but its not my cup of tea, but i would paint the bonnet orange anyway.
