Soopra
At 1am this morning our buzzer rang (We live in a block of flats and have to buzz people in the main entrance). I answered it and a foreign male voice said this is "Google Pizza" (that's what it sounded like). He was most insistent that I had ordered a pizza and when I asked for a name or phone number of the person who had ordered he kept saying "No name, ** High View ordered pizza". As he had got me out of bed (only answered because I thought maybe my son had forgotten his keys) I can definitely confirm I had not ordered a pizza. Any way the whole thing seems a bit weird to me
stinboy
Does sound a bit odd. Either a scam or someone in your block didn't get their breakfast this morning
tbourner
A) Did you eat it? B) Was it already paid for?
pbryant_knight
Maybe someone was just being funny and ordered a pizza to your address? You p'd anyone off lately? Or could have been for the same block of flats and he got the number wrong, if he was hard to understand in English then maybe he couldn't understand the person who ordered it? Just some thoughts Peter
Josh
It's better calling a 3am minibus taxi to someone's house to go to the airport. Pizza's just harsh on the company! Could have been a way to get into your flat though. Hope it was just a mistake.

Josh
And that's not mean on the taxi driver? Not when the whole company are eejits who have messed us about a lot of times with fayres and long journeys. This was a few years ago, though. Colin-mkiv
Sounds to me like it was some dodgy bloke had followed a woman home from the pub or something and tried to gain access to your building by any means he could...

Al Massey
that's kind of what i was worried about. i think the pizza was meant for a neighbour. just seemed odd that someone was trying to deliver pizza at 1am Why is it odd? There has been many times I've been at a party or come back from town and wanted a pizza
Abz
Wrong number, simples. If someone wanted to do a scam they wouldn't wake you up at 1am
Supra Gaz
This is quite a common thing used by burglars trying to get into blacks of flats, once past the security door they knock on a few flat front doors, when one doesn't get answered they break in, its usually done in the day mind. Soopra
i can't see who's buzzing, its just voice entry... just because he said he was delivering a pizza didn't mean he was or that there was only one of him. could have been a gang and they were trying to get past the security door
David P
Maybe you need one of these? [video=youtube_share;Smc-llHrFp8]
Shane
Just trying to get access to the block I reckon. Are there any Pizza places that are still open and delivering around you at 1am on a Thursday morning? Nothing for miles around here. Next time, ask if it has anchovies on it, if he says yes, then tell him its not yours, if he says no, then tell him its not yours.
Branners
More than likely GoGo Pizza, quite a common chain in London.
