How to polish metal?

Noz

Recommended Posts

I've seen various items be polished to a really high standard. NA intakes and chrome bonnet hooks, was wondering if there are any general guides to how this is done, as I'm wondering if the process is more aggresive than standard paintwork polishing.

Thanks :)

Its way more aggresive than polishing paintwork.

The intakes etc are cast aluminium and need to be linished first to remove

any casting imperfections and casting lines then polished.

Here is a turbo casing i did not too long ago in the various stages

from untouched to finished.

I also did an intake for a good mate in here which came out rather nicely but

i did spend a chunk of time prepping it before it got polished.
