roboldham Posted February 19, 2003 Share Posted February 19, 2003 Okay - first proper driving morning of the year really - last Sat / Sun Was oop north on the A49 - very twisty bit - driving particularly hard on the nice dry roads. Re-drove the same section 4 or 5 times to improve "times" After the 3rd run I got a serious judder in one of the front disks - perhaps it's warping under heat? It went away after I let it cool for 10 mins - but started to reappear so I went for breakfast. Anyone else had this with stock disks? Car's only done around 20,000 miles. Because the j-spec brakes are small they can't get rid of the heat so easily when you cane them, and therefore go through more extreme heat cycles which is what warps (and can even crack) them.
