roboldham
Okay - first proper driving morning of the year really - last Sat / Sun Was oop north on the A49 - very twisty bit - driving particularly hard on the nice dry roads. Re-drove the same section 4 or 5 times to improve "times" After the 3rd run I got a serious judder in one of the front disks - perhaps it's warping under heat? It went away after I let it cool for 10 mins - but started to reappear so I went for breakfast. Anyone else had this with stock disks? Car's only done around 20,000 miles. Darren
Rob, Think your spirited driving has shagged the disks:eek: Mine are the same...ok for normal cruising but start misbehaving and the judder is back.....you just need to decide whether its new disks or bigger brakes you want to spend your cash on!!! Syed Shah
Are they UK or j-spec brakes?

Syed Shah
No wonder then mate! Get yourself some UK brakes ASAP! I even fitted UK brakes on my NA, let alone a TT! Put it as the next mod on your list, much more important than power mods IMHO.
roboldham
Yup totally agree. I am thinking about some special biggies - but I am just waiting for a certain person to get my bloomin new 18's sorted first . . . :-) R
Syed Shah
Going with the KADs are you? They look very immpressive! Remember you will still need to get UK brakes for the back, otherwise you will throw the braking bias way off!
roboldham
Haven't quite decided yet - but whatever I do I will certainly match up all round for the best stopping power :-) Thanks for the reminder . . . R
Paul Whiffin
Just to let you know there is a KAD rear kit in the pipe line as well to match up with the fronts, all I know at the moment is they will be 4 pot alloy calipers, as soon as I have more news I will of course let you chaps no. Syed Shah
With all this stopping power your going to have to get a bigger turbo soon Paul!
Paul Whiffin
Yep, got a few more mods on the way soon...
chrispazzi
Brake judder is almost certainly going to be warped discs. Because the j-spec brakes are small they can't get rid of the heat so easily when you cane them, and therefore go through more extreme heat cycles which is what warps (and can even crack) them.
