scooby_doo_do
Well, i'm once again car'less and now seeking something for say under 6.5k that will carry 4 people to Le Mans with a bit of comfort and power. so far i've seen a CL600 Bi-Turbo (But unfortunatly this wasn't in very good mechanical order), but i'm also considering a BMW M5 or a Jaguar S-Type R. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts, or other suggestions? (Not an Evo/Subaru! ;-) ) thanks in advance.. Craig.

Abz
£81 over your budget, I am sure you could haggle it down. Very comfortable for long journeys, the interior is lovely to be in too with a large boot! http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3840198.htm 3.5 litre V8 engine for a bit of Omphhh! j_jza80
A few suggestions; - Audi S2 / S4 or S6. I'd choose an S2 Avant (estate) on your budget, will carry 4 with ease, 4wd, quick and will do 30+mpg on a run. - E39 BMW 530d Or 540i - E36 M3 4 door. - Jag XJR (poor fuel economy, but a fantastic cruiser though) - Toyota Aristo VVTi TT - Volvo V70R or S60R, depending on wether you'd prefer a saloon or estate - BMW 8 series if you don't care about your passengers legs. j_jza80
750 bmw I'd love one of those, but the potential for an eye watering bill has put me off so far. Jag XJS or XJ V12s can still be had dirt cheap though, and parts tend to be a bit cheaper.
Abz
Sierra Cosworth He wants to make it out of Essex Another choice for me would be this: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3712211.htm

Ross C
Audi S8. Always fancied one since seeing "Ronin". Think you can get them for a reasonable price. No idea though and too lazy to check pistonheads

Supra Gaz
Mmm, I would be looking at Audi's too, S2 for me, or an E36 M3, you could get a good one for that price. How about an R32 golf mk4? I saw one on eBay go for 6250 a couple of days ago, looked a bargain.
