Robzki
Have you tried feeding it some rennies? Or failing that I would think of a different way of describing it or maybe record a sound clip?
Abz
Have you tried rubbing it's back? I have found that works pretty well, though farts come out of the arse end not burps. I am assuming you have an NA? more information and as Rob said maybe a video clip to help diagnose the food problem.
listy
Big blow in the exhaust? Over fuelling? I had a similar problem a while back, but at low revs, and turned out to be over fuelling. Get a video clip of it. Will give us a much better idea of what it may be
Nicko
Haha its had all bits you can get from a chemist, but yeh its a 1994 n/a auto, Ordered spark plugs from ebay (bad idea) fitted them without checking (even worse idea) and it sounded like a bag of spanners misfiring everywhere lol Changed the spark plugs for the old ones again and its not as bad but still making the fart noise over 3500 revs, Listy how did you sort your over fuelling issue?? Nic
Was it running okay before you changed the spark plugs and other bits?
listy
I let it idle for about 30 min, just to burn off any excess fuel in the system and it sorted itself mate. Mine occured because of snail quick stop start traffic for 15 miles on the M5, and with the new clutch at the time, too many revs on pull off and then straight to idle again, the fuel had no where to go so was too much in the system I think. If yours is fuel related, try checking the fuel pump, lines, and see if you have a blockage anywhere, or if the pump is knackered. I'd wait for more experienced advice though, as I more than likely am a country mile off lol
Noz
You could have an incorrect spark plug gap. It could have problems running at all ranges of rpm, its just more noticable at higher RPM. Best idea, is to change the old plugs back in and see if it solves the issue. Check the gap on the new plugs as well. Ebay components are fine as long as they are branded and new. Supplier isn't important if its a genuine manufactured component. Check the components you have installed would be the first thing to do, as it sounds like you have caused it without realising. Robzki
Have you changed your coil pack connectors? If they were even a little bit brittle change them. It sorted a dodgy idle on mine edit: my bad just noticed its an na
Nicko
Cheers for all the advice guys, Old spark plugs are back in and new HT leads on as one of them was ripped somehow lol cars running a million times better and the weird noise at high rpm has also stopped, must of been a bit of crap in there when i was fiddling around. Robzki mine also had a dodgy idle (even if its an N/A ) ht leads have sorted that and listy checked all the fuel lines and some need replacing they look worn an tired and cracked. Cheers Guys!
