Guigsy
Any clue what the deal with my aux belts? One was frayed I thaught from damage with a stray plug in the engine bay. The belt was replaced, and on Saturday. A week or so later I heard an odd flicking noise. It was while i was away from home and turned out was a bit of the belt flapping arround. Not a thick bit probably only 1-2mm thick so just trimmed it down to get me home. Now it's still fraying. And the fray is about 5cm long again already. Obviously I'll replace it. But is there anything I should be checking. I can't see anything rubbing :/
keron
i would take a closer look at the aux pulleys....especially if you have the plastic one on the tentioner. also check your crank pulley too as if it has separated, it can move fowards and backwards and can wear the belt... Kaan W
Another crank pulley bites the dust by the sounds of things
Guigsy
It's got a Titan crank pulley on it I think. Aircon was re-fitted recently so was thinking that might be it :/ P.s keron - u got a rear passenger upper wishbone in good nick? Discovered one of mine is iffy. Chris Wilson
Have you put a straight edge across the pulleys to check alignment?
