Westy
Came across this on SF and wondered if anyone here had modified their TRD brace like this!? First I want to give credit to 95jza80tt for the idea and pictures on how to do this. This mod is more of a look and guess for me instead of a fine tune DIY, the idea is to braced the Master Brake Cylinder so that it does not move when you hit the brakes. There are kits from Carbine and others that do this, but i did not like the look or the price, and the way 95jza80tt did it was clever and works well. Tips i can give is with the TRD you need a 4in long bolt, that is enough distant to the MBC and is not to long from under the TRD bar. Also you can buy the rubber cap at Checkers or ACE Hardware, its for plugging up unused lines. http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/8396/p3150153.jpg http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/9150/p3150154.jpg http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/6885/p3150155.jpg http://img691.imageshack.us/img691/1658/p3150156.jpg http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/6780/p3150160.jpg http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/5687/p3150157.jpg Looks great and I am glad you like the added pedal pressure.. Nic
Good modification the BMC stoppers make quite a difference to pedal feel, the one in the pics would be better without the rubber end.
