Well i wouldnt say enormous but its a decent size, i read that having a wg to small can cause problems but a large 1 dont make any difference at all.

I havent installed all the bits yet so not sure if it all works ok.

I have fitted the springs in to allow it to open at 0.7 for now as im unsure what power it will make even at that.

Bigger the turbo and more boost you want to run the smaller the WG can be !!! Bigger WG's do struggle on small turbos in my experience, small twins is the way to go .

Yes, a big gate on a medium or small turbo makes it very hard to achieve linear and smooth boost control. Even opened a crack a big gate will flow a lot of exhaust gas, so the turbo instantly loses a lot of boost, then it closes, so you can get surge or spikes. I did have a Garrett technical paper on turbo wastegate sizing, but it's on a remote drive I have lent someone.

There are some photos of it here, it is brand new, and has just been lain on an engine of mine I built to measure up for clearances. The milled adaptor is NOT with it!!!! ;) Apart from the photo in an early post the build photos in the link in post # 1 show more detailed ones.
