Chris Wilson
Just looked out of the window and realized spring is definitely here. Some of our peacocks were up on their perch in the pheasant aviary, getting ready for a heavy day of strutting their stuff in front of their lady friends. Lot's of shouting going on, always nice to hear as it means winter is well gone and nature is turning to creating more stock. But it also means I have to get the mower out each week now for some months http://www.gatesgarth.com/peafowl/peafowl.html
merckx
You would think the feathers would get in the way when they come to doing it.

Holden1989
Very nice I am enjoying the red kites swooping into the garden at the moment, they always seem to appear in the masses around this time of year - much to the cats dislike..... Chris Wilson
You would think the feathers would get in the way when they come to doing it. It's surprising how many people don't actually know how birds copulate, even farmers often have no real idea. The feathers aren't a problem at all No duct tape required
Holden1989
Red Kites are HUGE, you dont seem to realise how big they are when they're in the air but when one is sat on your picnic bench in the garden, their well over 2ft tall! So Chris, how exactly do they 'do it'?

pedrosixfour
Peacocks, for such an elegant bird they do make one awful racket. **Wife joke deleted so family pet would not be treated to steak dinner** It's like they are constantly stubbing their toes or something.
