viper
Im looking for a set of headlights with the insides painted black. Im in two minds to either give it ago my self or just buy a set. My lights are jspec but in very good condition. How hard is it to get them apart?
kniff_666
I would have a go at doing this yourself. The thread for doing it is here It is from this forum so if you have any issues you just need to ask. I am going to do this to my J-specs also. The main reason to remove mine is to give them a thorough clean and polish. All you need to remember is to be patient and don't have the oven up too high. I find the hardest part to be removing the bloody units without scratching the bumper.

kniff_666
That would be the only thing i would change about that thread. I think 200degrees is too high especially for the plastic headlights bits. I would prefer to leave them in a littler longer at a lower temp (60-70). the idea is only to soften up the sealant around the lense. If you leave in to long you run the risk of warping the body and lense.
