FOSTA
Hi guys, Dose anybody know of away to make the NA autobox pressure cable longer without having to get a new one made up? Reason I ask is its a hell of a job to take the existing cable off at the gearbox end! The cable runs from the autobox to the throttle body and has the same sort of cable and end fittings. So I was hoping there was away just to extend the existing cable so I don't have to take it off. Is there any sort of cable connectors/ joiners available? Thanks for any help in advance guys! This will really be a massive help for me if i can do it this way The autobox line pressure cable is the bottom cable And this is what will have to happen if I can't extend the existing cable:( Edited April 15, 2012 by FOSTA (see edit history)
Guest ugp
Does your new throttle body have the right fitments or does the existing one get used?
FOSTA
I'm going to be using the stock throttle body mate. Any ideas like mate?
Guest ugp
An inline connector. We use them on the racebikes, I'm struggling to find a photo of one though. You would need to make two brackets to support both cables, but one of these will join the two together.

David P
Fosta, I've found a better pic, the cable ramp can be accessed by removing oil pan, no need to touch valve body, so it's not such a bad a job. Another solution is to clamp the cable in the wide open position and leave it there, the Yanks do this as an upgrade mod. http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?267655-How-to-make-a-a340-last(56kers-take-a-nap)&p=3017191&viewfull=1#post3017191 Edited April 16, 2012 by David P (see edit history)

I don't understand fully what it dose lol, dose it make the gearbox change down a gear on full throttle or somthing? Lol Cheers
