Lucky indeed for getting off with that, but why would you do that speed on a public road anyway?

Because that's what the speed limit on a motorway should be anyway. 70MPH was but into force back in the sixty when cars and there remould tyres were not capable of those speed

I've driven way over that speed on a motorway

:yeahthat:

I normally cruise with the rest of the cars at 80-90mph, but sometimes when there's no one about (or no cars that could be police) it's nice to whack it in 4th and floor it for a few seconds :)

Good news is 3 points tends to make absolutely no difference to your insurance premium. Didn't they offer you the option of a speed awareness course instead as it's your first offense?!

Sometimes as much as it sucks you just have to be polite, apologetic and kiss some ass. I've always been let off in the past. (not been caught doing 101mph though!)
