T2 MSW
Does any one have any of the red premix coolant I can borrow. Need it quite urgent as I've run out and the car is being mapped on Monday. Cheers
Tyson
Just use halfords red coolant the only difference is 4life changes colour when it needs changing. Then if you really want to you can call Steve Manley to see what he can do for you afterwards. More importantly why is it low? If the level has significantly dropped then you have a leak somewhere and I would strongly suggest you call off the mapping session or you could potentially sieze the engine. T2 MSW
It's only low because it's been changed and I bought some more that I was promised would be delivered today and it's not turned up
add heywood
I remember Chris Wilson saying you can use any sort of good quality coolant, as the Toyota stuff is overpriced for what it is...
Havard
I have about a litre and a half left in a 5l bottle here Mike if you want it.
Colin-mkiv
Any antifreeze will do the trick, they all have the right additives in for what Supras need.
Tyson
You would need to drain the entire system though as mixing different coolants can create hot spots which is why I am assumimg you would prefer to use 4life to top up rather than have to dump all the 4life out. It had 4life in it before and that's what's going back in so it does not need flushing out. Its low because the car smashed the fan shroud whilst out on track and boiled the coolant. So as its got overhot I'm changing it.
