chazuk
Hopefully not a repost next time your out and think a biker is up for it just make sure its not plod , guy in the 34 got 6months jail and the primera got 4months was in the paper aswell I thought it would have been illegal for the police to be chasing at speed without the lights and siren on obviously not http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTC7UNGbKCk&feature=related http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1325301/Two-drivers-jailed-speeding-140mph-Blind-luck-killed.html

Guest JohnSupra1
ah i have seen that video while ago... Hmm sound right it is illegal chasing at speed without siren. Sometime i believe some police officers love to drive chasing at high speed!

neil tt
It does always seem they are taking the micky, they could have stoped that alot earlier, and still got a conviction for racing, and that could of so ended really badly
j_jza80
To me it looks as if the bike is goading the R34 into a race later in the video. On a slightly less serious note, how the hell did he get that mundane Primera to do over 130?!

Yea looks the same way to me ,If it was me I would have been getting my lawyer to be bringing that up in court . Annoys me he got 6months for 145mph , people get less for gbh and robbery
Caesard
How can a shitty primera do 145mph? Without scattering into tiny bits?
tkddav3
i know its not safe what the driver did. but the copper on the bike chasing him down without sirens. is kinda egging him on. and like chaz said, why not stop him at 100??
Lee_e
This is literally just outside my road. it is pretty easy to speed on this stretch of road and with plod waiting just around the corner in the layby with a speed gun its all too easy to get caught out. h89mps
Saw this a while back, but it's always a good reminder. Looked as though the police officer on his undercover 1000cc, egged the Skyline on. What else did he think he was going to do when he sees a bike on his bumper at 100+, pull into the other lane? Plus it didn't really look that dangerous to me, not dangerous enough for half a year in prison.

Once you break the limit we all know what the consequences are. 70 - 90, you probably get 3 - 6 points. 90 - 100 you'll defo get 6 points and a hefty fine. Over 100, you lose your licence unless you have decent brief. At 145Mph, you are defo going to jail..!! H.
bigbloodyturbo
Bloody police on un-marked bikes now?!, it was obvious the bike was goading the 34. Sitting on his ar5e in the fastlane in a sportsbike? The copper had every oppertunity to stop him as soon as the primera and the 34 had showed they'd been racing, stick a light on a pull them. Everything else was goading and plod proving how much of a bloody nob he is. If they really cared bout public safety he would have stopped the race and not taken part in a RACE with an R34 with no indication to the driver he was RACING that he was police. Just like the idiot policeman who got done in his vectra at 150, one law for them and another for joe bloggs.

I have to agree with you here... watched the video and the police should've stopped him at 100. Maybe they wanted to "catch a bigger fish"? I bet the get more bonus for nicking someone doing 150mph++ compared to 100mph?
Supra Gaz
It is not an offence for officers to use their exemptions in the law for them to speed without sirens and lights. For this case to stand up in court it needs to be proved that the driver was already committing the offence when the bike began following. Whether he 'egged' him on or not is not is irrelevant, if you saw a car open with keys in it would you steal it, no. Just because the bike was following him doesn't mean he had to speed. From ex traffic.

Sometime i believe some police officers love to drive chasing at high speed! Funny you should say that, I had a copper make up about a mile of road when I was doing a steady 70 mph , he then followed me for a mile only to pull for what he called "an overly loud exhaust" , good job I haven't got decats in , he wouldn't answer the question about how fast were you going to catch up to me think he knew he was doing wrong

jonathanc
I love this thread. We have come to the conclusion that this incident is actually the fault of the police..!! Not saying the fault lies with the police but from watching the clip the police have taken unnecessary risks. Unless someone can explain to me why did the police egg the GTR to do even higher speeds? Also a bit curious how the Primera kept up? Sleeper?

I don't think he 'egged him on', he was following him and recording him, the GTR took to see this as a race and booted it. Good riding by the unmarked, those guys are epic. And not to forget those two traffic coppers that done that bloke for drink driving then decided not to call the transporter but took his evo 8 for a drive and lost it and ended up through a wall and up side down in someones garden at 11pm what did they get = restricted duties http://img571.imageshack.us/img571/1011/c71article1315935imagel.jpg

Supra Gaz
Damn diesel !!!! That is just bloody funny! This is why 'basic' police drivers should not be driving seized cars. It looks like it will buff out though....

Good riding by the unmarked, those guys are epic. I dont understadn your defence here, the bike 'followed' the gtr to over 147mph and at no time did he put lights on or sound a siren to stop the gtr from continuing to accelerate. The gtr actually pulled away from the bike so god knws what he was doing yet dumb arse plod can only manage t pull up next to said gtr and tell him to pull over AFTER watching him break the limit on two occasions AND witnessing him racing another driver. You applaud his riding skills yet rip up the gtr driver? In my opinion the copper shouldn't be on an unmarked bike with no lights or siren, they are there to prevent crime not hide in an unmarked vehicle and wait for it to happen so they can bust you.
