teddan
tonight’s question. 600 or 1000? The engine is built for 1000hk and will handle it easy. The only thing that will have to by change is the turbocharger. But in the same time I thinking about 1000hp I also think about the laggy, it isn’t fun to spool for a day..... My girlfriend should drive it to school and soon on without going sideways all the time. I don't have the time to go around to dragracing strip all summer as well.... I just will drive around sometimes with the car and enjoy life....... For the moment there are a t78 turbo in the car What do you thinjk?600 or 1000? Westy
Depends on what turbo you are going with, but if the engine is already built I'd say 1000!

tony tt
Letting your girlfriend drive it to school is asking for trouble! What the hell go for the 1000!
Gaz6002
If she can handle 600bhp she won't mind 1000bhp will she? In fact, if she doesn't drive on boost it'll be easier for her to handle. If she does then she already wants more power. Give it to her. Then up the power.
Abz
Just for driving around & enjoying? 600bhp please.
teddan
she has never tried 1000 the next trouble is that i don't have the time to go to dragstrip.. it will be more like just pop around. For the moment next longer vaccation sommertime will be 2016
Gaz6002
On a serious note, 600bhp is much better for a road car IMO. Mine was amazing fun but that's at the top end of what you can use properly on the road.
teddan
I maybe should go for 2 turbo setups:eyebrows:
Chris Bailey
Driving around on a day to day basis - I would choose 600bhp Because think about you cant put 1000bhp down onto the road.
tkddav3
i would not trust my misses(if i still had one) with my supe and thats running 600bhp. let alone 1000!

Robzki
You cant even trust a woman with a 100bhp fiesta Thats fighting talk around these parts. I can hear the high heels clip clopping.................
Pig
I think the one of the only people that can truly comment is Jamie p as e has had both. 600 is great but I long for 1k. IMO 1k is a serious car to maintain and not to be used as a daily driver

Josh
600 every day! I reckon 550 would be a perfect number for the road.
DARETT
I had mine at 630ish previously and it definitely was a fun road car. But It drives just as fun now at over 1100! Actually spools a little quicker as well If your willing to put the work in getting traction then go for the 1000, otherwise stick to 600 and have no issues with normal wheels, tyres and suspension... hogmaw
600 is plenty, more than enough for a lot of fun. If and when you get bored, THEN try for 1000.
Jamesy
having just sold an 825bhp supra and moved to a 610bhp supra i can hand on heart say the 610 is LOADS more fun, more power, more low down grunt.... i'd only go massive nhp again if it were just a strcitly drag racing car - you can never use those last 3-400hp for more than 5 seconds anyway
RCK10
Sounds like your looking for a fun street setup rather than an all out power machine... I'd go with 600hp, especially if the misses was doing the school runs in it...
Ricky49
Are the figures your mentioning hp at the wheels/hubs or at the fly a lot of hp figures mentioned now a days are just calculated/made up using a percentage of loss through the transmission. A true 600hp at the wheels supra will be a great road car
neil tt
I would love to be in the position to be able to think about it but 600 sounds much more useable.
JamieP
600bhp is boring, 800 is nice, 1000+ is crazy and will try to kill you.
