Swampy442
Not strictly mkiv tech but, my brother has an n/a Aristo and it's losing water. There's no obvious leaks anywhere and it does tend to pump quite a lot of condensation out of the exhausts, and when running there's a constant bubbling in the rad. But it runs like a dream, no emulsified oil. What sort of water consumption could I expect from a head gasket failure?
Dnk
Get a simple sniff test done and you'll know then if theres exhaust gases in the coolant. How much water is used with a failing headgasket is going to vary from a little if its just starting to fail to a lot if it properly lets go. add heywood
My headgasket went on my car (albeit a GTE), and would push coolant through the expansion tank on boost. Around town it was fine, no mayonaise and very little loss of water. Sniff test FTW
