RedM
Daft I know, but can someone explain to me the layout of the fuel gauge? Why is it divided into two small sections at the top and bottom and two much larger ones in the middle? How much fuel does each of these sections indicate? From filling up to the top (most full) mark yesterday afternoon I got to the start of the first big section this evening (50 miles ish). Went to Yorkshire meet and back (50 miles ish again) and used almost all the first large section (just over half full now)!!! Admittedly I did toe it a bit but not for long. Can anyone explain this? Do my questions even make sense?

Ian R
I all know is 240 miles tops and it time to refill. Like most cars first quater lasts a bit longer then it soon goes
Whitelightning
Well my fuel gauge full only goes to 3/4 on the dash. For the first 1/4 of a tank, my dash needle doesn't even move (Extra pumps in the fuel tank did this I believe)
tbourner
The first 50 miles on a full tank are free, isn't it obvious!

SupraStar 3000
doesn't the tank taper towards the bottom so the fuel is used quicker towards the end.
