Me at Donington

Do you go to Donno often Chris ? I go farely often , would be good to meet up there !

At the last rough count I have done around 5000 laps of Donington and about 9000 of Oulton, so yes, I go quite a lot :) Mainly track days now, but I keep my licence up to date. Work prevents a seasons racing for the forseeable future I'm afraid. Let me know when you are there next. I have booked a noisy day with Bookatrack sometime in August I think. Car needs a gearbox rebuild, it ate 3rd gear last week.

Yup, more Supras needed, but with most of them being autos I dont think their owners will bother.

Nice video Chris, bit short but it looks fun, a nice clear track is always nice to see! :D

Do you have any pics of what you're driving? :eyebrows:

Zeus Supersports , Opel 2 litre engine. N/A. 230 BHP. 520 kilos. Full ground effects car, all carbon bodywork. 2002 factory car. Best Donington time 1:10:58

It doesn't harm them, either. My old auto MKIV did COUNTLESS track days, and it was driven as hard as it would go on every one of them. last I heard (a few weeks back) it was still going strong with a new owner on this board. So get them out there, far less trauma to the car than poncing about on the drag strip for a few seconds in straight line...Far better value for money. May get you into doing some proper racing if you enjoy it!

Damn you Wilson! At Ten of the Best I found myself rather enjoying the handling circuit and wished for more laps as I *knew* I could go so much faster as I learnt the track. Now I feel urges for track days but didn't want something to break now the car is sooooo spot on and wuvverwy. And you say it's not that bad. I can feel my willpower crumbling...

Totally agree, 1/4 mile is great fun but track racing is so much better and makes you appreciate the car a lot more.

I just wish tracks in this country were more accessible, most of them seem closed to the general public except when you have to pay lots, the only cheaper weekends/days seem to be reserved for car clubs/track day specialists.

A tad too close to TOTB, a tad too far away from payday, and a 500 mile round trip :(
