Guest hoylegj
Hi, I'd welcome any ideas.. I've had the car from new and this has started in the last year. Its not been in a shunt Power on it turns right, take the power off and it runs straight Braking straight I checked the bushes Had Toyota Check the bushes as well and all ok Had Toyota do a full alignment, very little wrong Tyres are good, although the left read had worn much quicker then the right rear, replaced the left rear, no change Pressures are good Wheels turn freely when jacked up Has a torsen LSD, new oil, no noise, feels like a standard diff with jacked up err, running out of ideas, The biggest thing is the left rear must be taking much more power to wear it out so much faster, that would also agree with the pull to the right on power. So, LSD problems? Wheel bearing? Traction control? Many thanks Geoff. P.S. Toyota were not the best, they even put the rear wheels back on the wrong sides !! LOGIE
when you say you "power on it turns right" is this very sharp pulling to the right or only slightly? Id try a good reputable garage as opposed to Toyota next time.
Guigsy
I'd have said tyre pressures. Or something else tyre related. What sizes and widths are you running. Same kind of tyre on both sides?
Guest hoylegj
When I say Power on it turns right, its a steer left into it, 2,3 degrees, no banging or snap movement, progressive steer to the right. Tyres are the same and pressures are good. The type wear is the only sign of something strange going on , but the wear is flat across the whole tyre. Like more power to the left rear. TheTurtleshead
Loose subframe bolts?
Tyson
You can only get torque steer in FWD cars not RWD. Possible sticking caliper ? Or sub frame as above. The diff and TC only affect the rear wheels so would not cause the problems you are experiencing.

Guest hoylegj
Thanks for the ideas but they don't explain the left rear tyre wear, anyone know how to test the LSD?
Dnk
I'd get the cars wheel alignment checked as this might show it to be out or a bush thats worn and allowing the track to alter when your accelerating. I'd actually go round all the lower arm bushes and ball joints again and have a thorough check for any play, its sometimes not that easy to do and i wouldnt trust Toyota to do it full stop. TheTurtleshead
Do you spend a lot of time going sideways around roundabouts?
