NO! I'll race him in my stock TT. See if he can beat a Girlie!:blonde::kissass:

I hate Boxters. One of my friends loves them, she thinks they look pretty and are classy,:blahblah: and thinks Supras look like your Average car. This type of opinon, I take no notice of, as clearly she and other Boxter likers/owners, have no knowledge of cars and buy them purely on status! Sad! :stupid:

The only Porker I would think about getting would be a GT2 or 3 because of its racing ability, but there are alot of other cars i would consider first, for less money! Viper , Corvette, Ultima etc

I've never had a race with a porker! Tried to goad a Boxster into having a play ages ago .. but he was having none of it.

I have raced two Carrera 4s and they lost by a long way! Boxters you don't even have to try!

I must say, one of the Carrera's drivers give me  up after racing. so some can appreciate Jap performance! :respekt:

Christ, I used to race and outrun one of them on the way home from work most days - in my JSpec MX6, FFS!

Drove one of the later ones back from Brentwood to Poole (I get to drive plenty of different stuff in my job) and although it was pleasant enough, it was only about as fast as the 6.

Mind you, I couldn't get over the disrespect that other drivers showed. Loads of cars that would otherwise have moved over / stayed out of the way actually made deliberate efforts to get in the way. Small wonder all Boxster owners have a complex!

I have slaughtered so many Boxters I have lost count..

They normally sit in the outside lane of the motorway holding up Supercars like Supras Ferraris, Porsche Turbos, GT3's, Lambos...

There is nothing wrong with being Gay, or a hairdresser, or a social climber (wannabe) but please get 'real' mate and keep out of the fast lane!!

I remember seeing some twat on a ferry to Spain once in a Boxter and he was asking about my Supra (had no idea about cars thats why he bought a Boxter I guess) he said 'Well I suppose you wont be far behind me' ha ha...well think you know the rest...

Margeret Thatcher once said 'If I see a 30 year old man on a bus I assume hes failed in Life'

I say ' If I see a Man driving a Boxter I assume hes :limp:

I'm glad it aint just me who gets really pissed off when jap stuff gets slagged off for no reason other than it's Japanese. If it's a crap car, and I mean a really crap 'how did that get past approval' type crap, then yeah, go ahead, say what you want, I'll join in- but to completely write a car off simply because of it's country of origin really gets on my tits.

When you ask these myopic cretins where they are coming from, it usually stems from the fact that they had a Micra hire car once in 1992, therefore a 50 grand Skyline R34 GTR must be a piece of shit too, with no soul, Dixons stereo quality plastics and will only last 3 miles before it goes pop. That's like saying that a Lotus Esprit V8TT is an awful car because I once drove a Morris Marina.

Also, if it isn't the cars that get a slating, then the drivers get a fecking hammering too, labled as chavs with bassball caps and sub whoofers (is that a dead dog?) from Metallica's touring rig in the boot, who drive like total morons- ever seen a bloody Audi being driven ffs!!!!!

I don't know about you lot, but I use another motoring forum, as most topics on this site just go over my head- this is currently running on another site:

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?t=197632&f=23&h=0

Now I can fully appreciate that not everyone likes the jap stuff- no issue with me if it isn't your cup of tea, but this post:

Apologies to all here that own them, but Skylines are not cool because generally they seem to be driven by t:censored:ts. Unfortuantely, the same criterion rules out all decent Jap motors with the exception of the NSX.

really pissed me off.

Hello all!! Well Feck me if you lot can't take abit of mud slinging!! :stickpoke

First of all the cars name is a BOXSTER there is a S in it! :nyah:

Right, back to business. All I said to Chris was that a standard unmodified Supra looks alittle dull. So what? Some cars are like blank pages and need a little TLC to make them look special. Now come on, the interior of the car is alittle bland, It's just a mass of boring grey plastic! Toyota could have spend a little of the 40K+ price tag on the inside of the car! Some of you out there must agree with me on this one...

I have driven Chris's car and yes it is as fast as feck! :ecstatic: But you can't compare my car to his. The two cars are built for totally diffrent things. The Supra is a sports Coupe with 3L lump under the bonnet and the Boxster is a roadster meant for cruising around in with the top down in the sunshine (when the english weather lets it...) it's NOT for driving around at 170mph!

Poor mans Porsche, that's so original. So is an Elise a poor mans Espirit? A MR2 a poor mans Supra? Again two cars built by the same manufactuer but aimed at two very diffrent markets. I had a wad of cash and I decided to by a roadster. I picked the Boxster because the TT's becoming abit comman place now, the Z4 is like marmite (love/Hate) the S2000 just didn't appeal and the SLK is a hair dressers car! but a Porsche sounds nice...

Early Boxsters were built by Porsche when they were on the brink of going under, ask anybody who knows anything about the brand and they will tell you that the Boxster saved Porsche. But at a price. My car is under powered ( still 205bhp) and has the same dull interior of the Supra, But it's not built for speed! I get 32 mpg! and I have two boots, I can fit all my tesco shop in the car without having to put some on the seats like Chris does!

I have a quick car not a fast car...

All I can do is say sorry to all the people who have had tw@ts in other Boxsters having a go, they do not understand there cars, and only make other porker owners live up to the stereotype.

But I stand by my comments, the interior is dull and a standard Supra looks dated now! Stick a veilside kit on it and and a single turbo conversion and it becomes a diffrent beast...

And I'm not a hair dresser or an estate agent. I'm a hairy aresed Plumber and will be upgarding to a Boxster S 550 anniversary edition when the time is right! Wait till I see Chris tommorrow!!

Some of that is obviously your opinion ... fair enough ... but slow & cheating with turbos ?!

Though, I guess you were just winding chris up with harmless banter.

Wast the boxster designed for people that couldnt afford the higher spec models, to get Porsche out of going bust?

Well Good for you for sticking up for what you believe in (and only a bit of fun really).....however he he....

I agree they are two completely different cars.

BUT.....I Love the Supra inside out including the dash...when I first bought a Supra in the late 90's...I felt like I was in an aircraft Cockpit.

I have owned a hairdressers car myself a BMW Z3 2.8 (previously owned by John Spencer Footballer for QPR)

Drove it all the way to Malaga and back after picking it up, I wasn't convinced by 'The feel Good Factor' the way that Car Manufacturers mass market these marques to Unexperienced Car owners by luring them into their greedy hands with a dash of brushed chrome or fake walnut.

Supra Owners are a different breed...we are equally flamboyant but in an individual way.

The Toyota Supra remained one of Japans best kept secrets for many years, you only have to look at what Porsche had to offer in 1993 and compare Toyota's offering with the Supra to understand what I am getting at.

Answer me honestly now...Did you buy the Boxster because of the badge or because you honestly dont give a shit but like the car from the inside out?

Because if the answer is YES can you also say the same for most other Boxster Owners !!!!

I can honestly say that most Supra owners buy the Supra not to impress the neighbours but because they are true motoring enthusiasts and it has proven worth!

Also I do know that there is a far higher level of engineering knowledge amongst Supra Owners than of Boxster owners....this basically tells you WHY these kinds of people buy this kind of car.

I can drive 300 or 400 miles and not see one single Supra but in that time I would of seen as many as 30 Boxsters...if not more.

If I go to Spain and France I see NO Supras and 100's of Boxsters..

I have had 8 years of owning Supras on three occasions...and you want to know how many times I have broken down and I'm talking 160,000 miles combined with all of them....answer is NEVER!!!!

Can your car burn off a Porsche 911 C2?

or a Ferrari 355

Do you get a whole village in Spain drooling over the look and style of your Boxster, do you get people on their knees praying to it....well we do and there are videos to prove it... :nyah:

Also If I bought a Boxster it would most def get vandelised as did when I owned three BMW's all got scratched one got torched and no-one would let me out of junctions...

Socially there is little or no-respect for Boxsters, Audi TT's and the like but with a Supra it is respected by almost all (its classless)...because it is not over promoted with self praising words like 'pedigree' or pompous sales pitches...it is an 'honestly' amazing Supercar that no-one ever 'tried' to sell.

Japans best kept secret (and now I will be grilled for letting that secret out)

Anyway get your hairy builders bum in a Supra for a day and find out how 'special' it will make you feel more than the Porsche. Experience the G-Force almost like a fighter jet..your heart races and the adreneline is on over-boost..an experience I have only ever previously felt with a hand built Supercharged Aston Vantage that i was allowed to hammer down the A3 once.

In The Supra, people will smile and put thumbs up rather than the single finger salute! :D

Welcome

Si

:thanku: :ecstatic:

EDITED: Because I know how to. :p

In Denmark, the locals willingly sell their sisters for a MKIV Supra.

Porsches are well built, fast cars, but like all prestigue manufacturers (Merc / BMW etc) they need the lower market sales to support upper market Research and Development. The Porsche Boxster looks nice, drives well and is the car of choice in a certain car group.

Regreatably I am one of those single turbo/body kitted supras who just could not have a Porsche now unless it was the 911 Turbo or GT2, I have just got used to the acceleration and braking. This alone prevents so many accidents :)

Besides, I always back the underdog, in the badge wars that is Toyota !! ;)
