Jake
Do you really undo the top bell housing bolts from under the car? I can't even see them from underneath let alone get to them! What am I doing wrong? Do I have to drop the rear of the gearbox or something like that? I can just about see the top bolts from above but they look very difficult to undo with a spanner from there. There's no way I could get a socket on them from above. (1998 RZS Auto/Tiptronic, by the way) Thanks

secondjump
I have the same problem regarding the install of my tc.....Mig says a stubby spanner and mighty two finger leaverage does the job but i reckon he must have bionic fingers - although this is with a single were there is a little bit more room to play with. Good luck mate
Jake
Sod it, I'll have to take the engine out with the gearbox still attached.
Chris Wilson
Underneath, a long wobble extension, or pair of fairly long 1/2 inch drive extensions, the socket most end having a wobble feature and a 17 mm socket. Easy... It really is, some cars are FAR FAR more of a PITA to get the engine out of. lots of FWD cars for example, Skylines blah blah.
