ADD
are all evo's E46?
hadyn
E46 are the new shape beemer 3 series and E36 are the old shape(90s) beemers E36 M3s do the 0-60 in about 5.5, so that should be an even match with a stock auto supe
ADD
im gonna have to start moding this puppy now i think!
GeordieSteve
Nope about 300+ is standard for the J specs. rwhp = rear wheel horse power. You lose about 25% through the automatic tramsmission which is why your fwhp is higher
ADD
ok i see what your saying there, so if i was to go bpu what bhp would i be kicking out??
GeordieSteve
380-400bhp at the flywheel is common. Big upgrade at not much cost
dangerous brain
Mine is pushing out 395 at the hubs or to intents and purposes is 395 rwhp. Pete at Thor then calculated its engine output bhp at 474 I think He used 19 or 20% as the trans losses. Mine doesn't have hybrids unlike the other 3 on the dyno that day that didn't push out the power mine did. HKS 264 cams HKS fmic Water injection Hiper zorst full decat running 1.2 bar Blitz SUS induction kit (I'm not sure this is a positive thing) HKS FCD, TRL SLD, Walbro + FSE
ADD
bloody hell that is gonna be a real difference in driving to what i am used to now!

I'd call that APU. The only thing you haven't done is get rid of the stock tubbies. BPU is just exhaust & cats (and FCC/FCD/BCC if needed) isn't it? I heard a safe estimate is 10bhp per PSI above stock. So if you go from 11psi (is that correct for stock?) to 17psi, then you're gaining 60bhp. I've heard of BPU+ Actually it needs injectors as well to go single but thats pretty much it.
Willson
APU is single turbo, or big twins - Advanced Power Upgrade. Sounds like DangerousBrain is BPU++ (You get one plus for each 'main' power adder, cams, fmic, etc)
dangerous brain
Oh in that case I'm +++ then as I have water injection as well I think we can call this thread well and truly hi-jacked now lol
Gazboy
My mate has an Evo- forget tuning them, it's more expensive than divorcing Rachel Hunter. Matey was quoted about 8k just to get the thing up to 360bhp. I found there was next to bugger-all in it when we gave it the beans.
