ballsdeep
hey guys sorry if it has already been covered but i have searched and couldnt find anything relating to my problem. its my first day back in the soop after 5months sorn, so pulled up to work closed my door and the glass just dropped, so i sobbed for 10mins then took the door card off to inspect it. i didnt have much time so cable tied it up and took a pic, im guessing this is my problem? looks like the white plastic bit with the spring in has broken. what im hoping or more like wishing is can it be repaired rather than buy a whole mechanism? any advise would be very helpful? cant believe it after spending the whole weekend cleaning and waxing her also changed brakes, oil, coolant, front bumper support bar, fitting dash and door panels, refurbed headlights.. now looks like i will be driving the van again. Attero
Actually, this happened to me on both my windows. I found the cable tip snapped (due to age), flung through the mechanism and damaged it. I had to buy a new mechanism for both sides. They are actually quite cheap compared to most cars at about £60 each IIRC.
