DodgyRog
Jen's finally decided on a car and here it is http://usedcars.marsh.toyota.co.uk/vehicle.aspx?wflw=se_gr_ve_vi&ctr=1323214&vhl=602436084&srcmdc=se_gr_re_ http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201212458130277/sort/priceasc/usedcars/model/auris/make/toyota/page/1/quicksearch/true/radius/10/postcode/ex84hy?logcode=p It's a Toyota Auris 2.2 D-4D SR180 6 speed manual Surprisingly nice to drive, 177bhp with a very nice 295lbs/ft of Torque so plenty of grunt and it is fully loaded with SatNav, iPod connection, reversing sensors etc It's done a fair bit of mileage for it's age, but it was mainly motorway stuff and the overall condition is pretty much perfect Hopefully this one will last more than 6 months:taped:, hoping it will last long enough to get a GT-86 when they are 3 years old:D

Gaz6002
I was going to try to talk you out of it It'll be very reliable, but the Auris really isn't anywhere near as good as its competition
DodgyRog
I was going to try to talk you out of it It'll be very reliable, but the Auris really isn't anywhere near as good as its competition You had me worried then lol It was a compromise between power and running costs in the end the Auris was a nice middle ground car. It was owned by a guy the Marsh dealers supply a new car too every 2 1/2 years and he always has every optional extra and any isues are always sorted irrelavant of cost The car has been very well looked after and has had the recall throttle sorted and he also paid to have the gearbox checked when there was questions about the reliability of the clutches and noisy gearbox issues all over the news and internet
Thorin
The diesel Auris was Toyota's "sportiest" car in their new car line-up for a while.
Porky1978
I made that car. Toyota have never been brilliant at making a good diesel but the SR180 is a cracking motor. Good all round economy and good grunt when you need it. Shame the styling lets it down (in my opinion)
Ian W
You sold a Type R (any of them) for that? At least you'll get good fuel economy
Abz
Shame about the Type R, that was a lovely car. This should be just as quick though? with 295lbs/ft of Torque!!
DodgyRog
To be honest it's a nicer all round drive, but there is nothing like the V-Tec at full WOT It's certainly no slouch and you don't have to rev the nuts of it to make it quick
Gabriella
...and it is fully loaded with SatNav, iPod connection, reversing sensors etc Fully who?? Nice colour
Samurai 20V
I had the 2.0 Diesel version in South Africa for a year, I liked the car alot. The drive was very good, lots of low down torque made for good fun. Its not the sportiest or most good looking, but it is a solid car.. Enjoy it!
