far
So less than a year of owning my 09 Q7 the wheels have started to corrode from the inside, the cars under Audi warranty - after much debate Audi are saying they will pay for them to be refurbished fully. Do you guys think I should settle for that or push for a brand new set of wheels? TIA FAR

Do you guys think I should settle for that or push for a brand new set of wheels? TIA FAR I'd push for new. My grandads mate had a similar thing happen on his Lexus a few years ago, he'd had it from new but was around 5 years old iirc. The Service manager brought up the state of the alloys in conversation, and swapped them for new. Unless you fancy a change of colour...
Colin-mkiv
Refurb....in any colour you like.....gives you a bit of a one off edge. OE wheels are notorious for corroding, A good wheel refurber will apply more coats than they had on originally.
far
cheers guys, I dont particularly want any other colour other than the current colour however I would rather have new wheels than old! Am I asking too much or do you reckon I have a good case?
Dnk
I'd go for new and think its totally reasonable you should get new and not the set on the car refurbed
Colin-mkiv
Must just be me then, but new ones are likely to do the exact same in 3 years or so. Without chance of a warranty swap.

Powder coated will also probably do the same I'd be asking the question of the Audi dealer on where you'd stand going either route.
