tbourner
Most phones now have qwerty keyboards, and tend to spell check away from txt spk, I doubt that's enough to quash the growing trend though. They've had a few news stories recently about illiteracy and needing to teach older children how to write cos day spel fings ferneticly.

ubersonic
I doubt qwerty keyboards on phones will make a difference, "txt spk" as its now become know has been around a lot longer than text messages and was around before mobile phones even became popular with the "yoof", it was originally known as netspeak/wirespk aka the language of the internet and its not like computers were ever short on qwerty keyboards, its designed to save time when writing short messages on forums and in emails/games so the number of keys available is pretty irrelevant. Graham1984
I find Google Chrome is the answer to my own stupidity. I think that is one of the reasons why I like it here as it makes you actually try and engage otherwise dormant braincells.
