wile e coyote
Well i spent 6 hrs last night replacing all my lower wishbones. Had to cut all but 2 bolts out what a nightmare. Luckily i had use of a ramp etc. If anybody else does this make sure they purchase all bolts and washers as i did
D8MOA
I'm in the process of striping mine out and I no these bolts will cause issues lol
Dnk
They seize inside the bush and can be a right job to get out, cutting with a disc can sometimes be the only option. I wouldn't entertain doing this without having the use of a ramp and dont forget you'll need a full geo set up afterwards
wile e coyote
The geo is all booked for sat:thumbup:
SteveR
How come you only did the lower ones?
wile e coyote
Tried to do geo a few weeks ago and all seized. The rear uppers were done about 3 years ago and could not afford to do upper fronts yet all the lowers plus bolts etc came to 1600
SteveR
Yeah I know it's not cheap* - didn't realise you'd done the uppers already. * = entered into the "understatement of 2012" competition category.
j_jza80
It should drive really well once done though, and will be good for a long time. Just make sure you get all those new bolts protected On the plus side, the price could be worse. I've heard that the spherical suspension arms on the Honda NSX total at around £10k! wile e coyote
Geo all done this morning Drives nice and true now but the bloody rds down here are not great and having 295 tyres on the rear don't help If anybody in the SW wants there's done i have negotiated a price of £65 plus vat for the club but that's as long as the bolts are not seized
Dnk
Supprised your not running a bit more camber on the front, stock is -0.5 degrees
wile e coyote
I really don't understand the readings mate
Dnk
A bit more negative camber on the fronts will help with grip in the corners, obviously the more you run the more you wear out the inner edge of the tyre
wile e coyote
been for a drive this after noon and car feels loose now thought it was funny cambers in the rd If i do a quick pull sharp left it seems to wobble feeling unsafe If i do a quick pull sharp right it feels ok Any body any ideas The car is a 1997/ 98 supra tt vvti
SteveR
corner weighting is an essential part of geo, imho - did you get that done?

dude
You need more camber on the fronts and also about 1mm toe in, it will make the car more stable at high speed, that geo is rubbish, which is prob why it cost £65, I would not even put it on the ramp for that !!!
