Interchangable Alternators?

Jimmer

Recommended Posts

So my Alternator has seized and I need to source a replacement. I know that I currently have the correct 100 Amp unit in there but i'm finding getting hold of one a pain.

It looks like the 90 Amp units are more common. Does anyone see a problem with fitting a 90 Amp'er? I can't see any major issues but i'm sure Toyota made it a 100 Amps for a reason.

The cars a UK Auto Btw and I don't have any banging sound system that gobbles power. Cheers guys:)
