TubbyTwo
I would have said pistonheads, but as its been Taken over by Paul Brown you will get lost in the sea of reposted adverts.
ozz
I sold my last car on pistonheads, only had one enquiry though. Pistonheads is no longer free though. Cheap option - ebay, run a classified ad for month, if it doesn't sell relist for free but change to auction and lower price.
davis6110
Hmmm yeah cheers guys, well ill see how its goes on the few things i have it on at the moment if not i will have to start with the more expensive options like auto trader cause its sure to sell on there
ozz
I had no luck with autotrader. If you do go down that route, checkt the quidco offers, I went through then and had something like 25-33% off the price.
pbryant_knight
I sold my MG TF through eBay and swapped the Prelude for a Supra via pistonheads. Autotrader is getting far too expensive and i got nothing from it........except lots of scammer companys which i am still getting texts and calls from now. Jamesy
Pistonheads now charge for ALL car adverts...and autotrader is a complete rip off with their prices.
j_jza80
What type of Citroen is it? Your main problem with most Citroens is that the market is saturated with them, so you really need to make your car stand out. This would usually be either an extremely low price, or strong money for a very good example. In the case of the latter, you need every single detail about the car and the way it's been cared for etc, a good comprehensive set of photos (by someone that knows how) and the whole car needs a full detail, inside and out. That would include the engine bay, wheel arches, doorshuts etc. You may also want to try selling it on an owners forum to your type of car. Why don't you post up a link to your advert? davis6110
Ok cheers again guys, ill just have to see how it goes in the local newspapers, i think i have put a pretty fair price for its age and miles so it should go :-)
Holden1989
Without sounding rude, is it runaround material? Have you tried putting it in the classifieds section on here?
davis6110
Its not really run around material lol, its a 2006 1.4 Citroen C4 VT Coupe, worth 3k but mine has done v low miles for its age :-)

As said, an owners forum is by far your best bet, with a 1st class advert and pictures.

j_jza80
Try using this BMW advert as a template: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3699911.htm Your advert needs to be AT LEAST this good. It's all about the details. Your photographs need to be this good, and your car needs to be that clean. Otherwise, knock £500 off your asking price and you may get lucky. This is another good example: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3757450.htm
