CJ
If you people feel this forum is a bit too ready to hand out infractions then don't ever visit avforums.co.uk I have just received an infraction for selling an item I had advertised on there to somebody offline who wasn't a member. Yes, you read that correctly. If you place an item for sale on that forum you must not sell it to anybody offline unless you remove the item off their site first. Madness or what? Seems strange as it is perfectly normal for people going offline? Not very sure what you mean here? Did you sell something to someone who isn't a member? Did you sell something to someone who isn't a member? I posted up a for sale thread and also advertised it on other forums. When it sold on another forum I pulled it for AVforums and was asked why? I told the truth and said it was sold to a person offline and they told me that was against the rules and gave me an infraction. Madness if you ask me. TonytotheB
AVFORUMS have a rule that you cannot advertise your time anywhere else. It is pretty clear lol If you think AVFORUMs is bad, try OCUK haha. Just kidding

j_jza80
Tbh, the nature of such a site is bound to be very different from this one. Given how expensive, fragile and desireable some of the products they deal in are, I'm not really suprised.

Given how expensive, fragile and desireable some of the products they deal in are, I'm not really suprised. I am confused. Why should the desirability or fragility of an item preclude you from advertising it elsewhere? Once could argue the same could be said about several items for sale on this site. Abz
Talking about limiting the audience you sell to! It's like putting a Supra up for sale on here but not being able to sell it to your neighbour who isn't a member on here!
CJ
It's like putting a Supra up for sale on here but not being able to sell it to your neighbour who isn't a member on here! Exactly - and if you do then this forum gives you a slapped wrist and an infraction.

Digsy
To be fair AVForums is roughly ten times the size of this one in terms of active members and I know the mods there rule with a rod of iron. Our rules are our rules, their rules are their rules.
